Free Links with Work
That's right; free links with work, labor. The research begins where to get the links. I forever have web directories not willing to give 'free' links.
Lists of link directories are most helpful to get free links through just pure labor; mostly laborous with questionable outcomes [lately].
But, Link Building, is what becomes a permanent, much wanted, strategy that builds rather than remains stagnant, which can be a boredom.

Microsoft Defends Yahoo! Bid
Microsoft Executive, CEO Steve Ballmer, defends its bid on the competitive search engine Yahoo! saying the offer is fair. After the bid refusal Microsoft's stock has declined which has sent the deal into multiple problems with price structuring; a factor Microsoft wants to deny. The deal was originally worth $44.6 billion but is now considered valued at $40.9 billion. Yahoo!'s stocks are slightly rising compared to a flat stock price for Microsoft.
SEO-Metro's Dallas SEO firm doubts anything substantial will come about the back and forth deliberations or the wanted deliberations Microsoft wants.

Ask.com Keeping TEOMA
Ask.com is keeping TEOMA and reports that another blog's speculation was not true. Ask is not abandoning TEOMA as we jumped the gun and erroneously reported on the last blog what we had read. Our apologies to Yahoo! even though we don't think the search engine part of Yahoo! is actually that great. Sorry, but losing TEOMA may be a beginning not an end.

Ask.com Search Problems
Ask.com, CEO Diller, is purportedly not impressed with the outcome of Ask.com and many think that the search engine in use, TEOMA, may be abandoned to have Google's search results returned in Ask.com's user interface.
It seems the search engine cannot achieve an independence to the top three, Google, Yahoo! and MSN even with a multi-million dollar advertising campaign. Users have noticed lately that sponsored results are now showing above the organic results which hints that the given results are not quiet as good as the sponsored results; a move that Google has no apologies nor shame when supplying several sponsors above the organic results.
Burying organic search results does little to help search engine optimization but does alot to help paid sponsored results.

Microsoft Desires Yahoo! Engineers
Microsoft has let it be openly known that they wish to acquire the search engineers at Yahoo! in order to keep up the competition with Google. Bill Gates, according to CNET, says because Yahoo! has expanded beyond just a focus on media and into breakthrough technology that will improve searches that it desires to acquire Yahoo!. Mr. Gates explained that the technology is expanding so quickly that it takes much energy to keep up with the constant changes.
It seems like energy is the drive that makes the most of search engine companies including search engine optimization companies that can be limited with synergy because of heavy work loads or lack of employees to get tasks started much less completed.

MSN/Yahoo! Deal Fizzling?
Soon to be reported on SEO Metro is rumors that the MSN deal acquiring Yahoo! is going down the pot in a fast way. Some anonymous sources are reporting Yahoo! is insulted with the 44.6 Billion dollar offer of acquisition.
Knowing such internet acquisition/attempts in the past of large corporations should leave no common citizen surprised.
