Ask.com Search Problems

Ask.com, CEO Diller, is purportedly not impressed with the outcome of Ask.com and many think that the search engine in use, TEOMA, may be abandoned to have Google's search results returned in Ask.com's user interface.

It seems the search engine cannot achieve an independence to the top three, Google, Yahoo! and MSN even with a multi-million dollar advertising campaign. Users have noticed lately that sponsored results are now showing above the organic results which hints that the given results are not quiet as good as the sponsored results; a move that Google has no apologies nor shame when supplying several sponsors above the organic results.

Burying organic search results does little to help search engine optimization but does alot to help paid sponsored results.

Mr. Gates explained that the technology is expanding so quickly that it takes much energy to keep up with the constant changes.
